Talk to a business loan brokerBuying or renting
With a business loan, you own the equipment from the start and pay it off over up to 60 months with no deposit. You make monthly payments in arrears, and you can include software and servicing in your loan. Finance Now says GST may be claimable upfront, and interest and depreciation may be tax deductible. Check with your accountant to confirm.
With a rental, you use the equipment but don't own it. You still need to look after and service it. Finance Now says rental payments may be fully tax deductible and might not show as a liability on your balance sheet. Check with your accountant before relying on this.
How to apply
You can apply online or call Finance Now's business team on 0800 365 287. Many businesses use Finance Now through an equipment retailer. Retailers in the network apply for you using an online portal, and Finance Now says it pays them within 24 hours. Finance Now's normal lending criteria apply, and it will run its own checks.
What Finance Now costs
Finance Now doesn't publish its business loan or rental rates. You'll see the interest rate, fees and total amount payable in your documents before the loan is finalised. Compare this total with the cost of buying the equipment outright, and try the rate in our business loan calculator.
How Finance Now compares
For vehicles, trucks and heavy machinery, UDC Finance and Heartland are the specialists, and banks' asset finance starts at $5,000 to $20,000. Finance Now fits smaller office and shop equipment better, and you can arrange it at the point of sale. The asset finance guide compares all these options.
