## The short version

- QuickBiz is BNZ's online application for a loan or overdraft of $5,000 to $100,000, a credit card with a limit of up to $50,000, or asset finance from $5,000.
- You can apply as a sole trader, partner or company director if you're 18 or over and a permanent New Zealand resident.
- You need 12 months of reconciled business accounts.
- BNZ gets back to you with a decision or next steps within two business days.

## Is BNZ QuickBiz right for your business?

QuickBiz works well for an established business that keeps its accounts up to date and needs up to $100,000. Unlike Kiwibank's Fast Capital, it takes sole traders and partnerships. You don't have to bank with BNZ to apply. If you need more than $100,000, BNZ asks you to talk to its business team.

## What BNZ lends

| Product | Amount | Term | Who qualifies | Security | Speed | Cost |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| QuickBiz loan or overdraft | $5,000 to $100,000 | Not published | A sole trader, partner or company director aged 18 or over and a permanent NZ resident, with 12 months of reconciled business financial data; you do not need to bank with BNZ | Not published | A decision or next steps within two business days | A fixed rate (not published) for term loans; lending fees apply |

## What you'll need

You upload PDFs covering the last full 12 months: your income statement, balance sheet and the reconciled transaction history from your business trading account. If you're already a BNZ customer with total lending of $50,000 or less, you may not need them.

## BNZ business loan rates

QuickBiz term loans have a fixed interest rate, and you can repay weekly, fortnightly or monthly. BNZ doesn't show the rate on its QuickBiz page. With an overdraft, you only pay interest on what you use. Try different rates in the [business loan calculator](https://smallbusinessloan.co.nz/tools/business-loan-calculator) to see the repayments.

## How BNZ compares

[ANZ](https://smallbusinessloan.co.nz/lenders/anz)'s goBiz goes up to $500,000 online, but you need more than 2 years of trading. [Kiwibank](https://smallbusinessloan.co.nz/lenders/kiwibank)'s Fast Capital emails a decision within five minutes but only lends to limited companies. If you don't have 12 months of accounts, online lenders like [Prospa](https://smallbusinessloan.co.nz/lenders/prospa) and [Bizcap](https://smallbusinessloan.co.nz/lenders/bizcap) look at your bank statements instead.

These details come from BNZ's website, checked on 6 November 2026.
